MCC is devoted to nurturing children to grow as responsible individuals, students, family members and citizens of society. The Montessori concept of "grace and courtesy" is a method for teaching the children behaviors that contribute to living in harmony with others. The practice of grace and courtesy is introduced to young children in simple ways such as greetings, respect for others and offers of help to those in need. As children grow they apply simple notions of kindness and friendship with those around them to a desire for other people around the world to live in dignity and peace.

The Montessori Children's Center provides intimate, holistic learning that emphasizes the joy of discovery, healthy living, and respect for one another and the earth, in a secure nurturing environment, applying the life skill practices and educational philosophies of Maria Montessori.
